CEM MARS6 Microwave Digester
The CEM MARS6 Microwave Digester is a new addition to the Center. This tool can be used to prepare materials for inductively coupled plasma (ICP) analysis much faster and with less waste than bench-top digestion. Methods for tissue, geological materials, solids, and a host of specific water chemistry applications are preprogrammed into the system.
Due to access limitations, hydrofluoric acid is not allowed in the Center. CEST staff can work with researchers to find digest methods that best suit their needs using alternative solvents.
